We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Learning in Action
Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School Prestons regularly provides parents the opportunity to see their children learning in action through open classrooms, weekly assemblies and ‘meet and greet’ sessions.
Communicating with Saint Catherine of Siena Prestons
We communicate with parents regularly, including a fortnightly newsletter, the Compass student information system and app, emails and phone. Parents can call to book in with a teacher when required.
Supporting the Students
We have a generous and supportive school community who willingly volunteer their time and talent to lend a hand in a variety of ways. We have a strong and committed Parent Representative Group who meet regularly throughout the school year. The Parent Representative Group discuss and plan community building activities and fundraising initiatives.
